The Langhorne Garden is one of Folkestone's most respected, family run hotels. Locally there are a wide choice of activities, sports, entertainments, restaurants and shopping facilities, all within easy reach of the hotel. The pretty harbour and seafront are also only a few minutes' walk away. There are dozens of pretty villages in the surrounding countryside, with many beautiful walks or rides. Other major attractions in the area are Leeds Castle - "The Loveliest Castle in the World", near Maidstone; the ancient cathedral city of Canterbury or the fascinating Battle of Britain Museum in nearby Hawkinge. Not to mention Folkestone's award winning Coastal Park; a five minute walk away from the hotel.

The Langhorne has two bars to choose from. The main bar is on the ground floor and caters for hotel guests. Directly below is Harvey's Bar which serves a fine selection of lunchtime bar meals, wines, lagers and real ales - offering log fires in winter and a garden patio in summer. The hotel itself is graded as guest accommodation on the basis that we do not serve evening meals during the months of January, February and March (basically Christmas until after easter.) A central location in the town with approximately ten restaurants of all types within a two minute walk - why would we try to compete?

Parking - 65 public parking bays in the centre of the road immediately outside the hotel. Permit required 8am till 6pm, seven days a week. A 'Hotel Guest Permit' costs £2 per day (24 hours) which runs from 12 noon until 12 noon the next day. From 6pm till 8am no need for a permit. Please note that the purchase of a permit does not guarantee a space but there is a high turnover of cars and spaces free up on a regular basis, especially during the day. There are also further spaces within Zone A1 which can be used with your ‘hotel permit’. Also the option for secure parking in a locked council car park with 24hr CCTV- charges apply (overnight - 8pm till 8am is free).

Our overnight stay was a pleasure. The staff were very frienly and helpful and made us welcome. Our two boys even got to play the piano in the lounge as they could play well.
